Your Liberal Democrat Councillors have received a number of letters and e-mails from local residents asking how they can express their concerns about the chinese authorities treatment of the tibetan people.

Cllr Michael Wyatt has already sent a message on behalf of all three councillors urging our local MP to support our call for the Prime Minister to boycott the opening of the Olympic Games. 

Michael Wyatt said, “The situation in Tibet cannot be ignored, we need to stand together and send a clear message to the chinese authorities that what they are doing to the people of Tibet is totally unacceptable. The people of Tibet are entitled to live in peace, and should be given back their independence”.
