Update on Lib Dem Campaign on Meadow Lane Cross Rds

June 25th, 2008 by michaelwyatt

Cllr Michael Wyatt has been leading the campaign for road safety measures to be installed at the Meadow Lane Cross Roads for over 10 years. Last November hundreds of local residents signed a petition supporting Cllr Michael Wyatt’s call for traffic lights, zebra crossings or even pelican crossings to be installed at the junction, which many local residents and children use on a daily basis.

Cllr Michael Wyatt said, “Im hopeful the County Highways officers will soon be reporting back on our request for better safety measures at the Cross Roads. Many local residents and I have been campaigning together for 10 years on this issue, I only hope the officers are finally going to listen to our concerns and give us what we need, that being a safer cross roads for everyone.”

Beware of Bogus Campaigners - If you are contacted by other Political Parties about this issue, ask them why are they now jumping on this bandwagon? Is it because they are desperate to be seen to be doing something, and they cannot think of anything else to campaign on!

Everyone knows the Liberal Democrats are the only ones campaigning all year round and not just at election time like all the other Parties.
