Labour double tax for lowest paid
Labour’s abolition of the 10p tax band will hit the lowest paid across our area.
The low paid will see their taxes DOUBLE from 10p to 20p in the pound. Anger is growing even amongst Labour MPs and supporters as Gordon Brown presses ahead with his unpopular plan.
Local Lib Dem campaigner Michael Wyatt said, “Labour has made a mess of the economy and are trying to make the lowest paid pay for it.This is a disgraceful betrayal of the less well off in our community.”
