Cllr Julie Roberts has today announced our latest campaign for a Community Centre for the Greenhill Estate. Your Lib Dem Cllrs have already spoken to Officers at the District Council to look to see how we can progress this idea. More and more houses are being built and still we have no Community Facility. Yes we have a small Community Shop but this is not good enough for what is needed.

Cllr Michael Wyatt managed to get backing for a feasibility study some years ago, which highlighted the need for a Community Centre on the Estate. The study showed there is a clear need within the Community

Cllr Michael Wyatt said, “We have highlighted the need for a Community Centre before, but the previous Labour run District Council refused to back our call for such a facility. The Greenhill Estate desperately needs a Community Building, which will provide various services all under one roof, a Multi Purpose Community Facility, which will not only allow other agencies to provide services, but a place the local community can meet, and actively get involved in making the place we live a better place for all .
